Using the Contact Tracing Tab

The Contract Tracing tab shows all users who have tested positive for Covid, or are Some or High Risk

The platform looks at user activity to determine what shared locations there are between the subject of the trace and any others who might have been exposed to that user.

You can permanently delete a record from this list by clicking the red x at the end of a row. 

Conducting a Trace

  1. Click the Trace button for the user whose contacts you want to trace. 

Optionally, once you're on the Trace Results page you can add any additional users to the results by clicking the plus sign next to the Mark as Exposed button. 

Search for and select the user, then click Confirm

The user will be added to the Trace Results list.

2. Adjust the period of the contact trace using the date filter widget at the top.  


Use the legend on the left side of the page to the status of the user on a specific day. 

3. Add or remove any selection from the  Locations, Tags or Vaccine Status drop-down menus to get a more accurate list for follow-up. 

Based on the criteria selected, anyone the user has had contact with will display in the  Trace Results field.

Viewing a User's Movements

Click the View button to expand an entry in the Trace Results list and view information about the user.

Notifying a User

To notify a user they have been exposed to someone with Covid, or Covid symptoms:

  1. In the Trace Results field, check the box next to the user(s) you want to notify. 

  2. Click the Mark as Exposed button. 

  3. Click the check box, then Confirm that you want to send the message. 

When users are notifed that they have been exposed the action taken will be determined by the configurations on the Thresholds -> Exposure Settings page. This could include being:

  • Marked as having Some Risk
  • Prevented from taking their health survey for the notified date
  • Stripped of their HealthPass, if they have one
  • Required to upload a negative Covid test

Closing a Case

You can close a case by clicking the Finish button from within the trace record. 

When you look at the list of users in the main Contract Tracing window, you will see that the Status of the trace is Closed. You also have the option of downloading a .csv file of the trace record by clicking the CSV button.
